About Us

I am Kayla Schroeder and I have a passion for helping others and loving on others and making an impact for the good each day. We purchased the shop in April of 2019, previously I had been in ministry for 16 years helping teens find their way in life.

I started a 501c3 in 2011 and it helps provide medical services for young women who need pregnancy test, STD testing and treatment as well as sonograms and material assistance to succeed in life as a mom. 

I recently bought Shine with my husband because I have a degree in Fashion and have always loved it and stayed current with trends. I love colors and fabrics and new looks and styles. A woman can express her unique self through fashion. We help see that our customers find an outfit that makes them feel good and look their best. We carry a broad range of sizes so everyone finds something they can enjoy. 

Our purpose includes supporting women in business and nonprofit charities with a portion of our profits. We want to give back to the Community. It is a delight to work with my daughter Teah who is part owner of Shine. She has a great eye for fashion and helps me do the purchasing for the store, so we have multi-generational looks. Teah is a part time surgical nurse at Cooks Children’s Surgery Center right across the street from Shine.  She enjoys being creative at our store by styling outfits for our customers, we get to know our customers and build friendships with them.

We want you to be treated with the utmost personalized attention and care here at Shine.  We also acquired this shop so my family could work together. We are a very close family, we also have son Tanner, who helped get the business set up before he left for law school. My husband of 35 years, Terry is our computer guru and helps make our online shopping possible. Come and join us and attend our SIP & Shops with live music and mimosas and special deals.
